Animals Faking Various Illnesses And Doing Other Ridiculous Things All In Pursuit Of Attention

Animals sure are drama kings and queens. They have a lot to say, and when they want attention nothing gets in their way. There seems to be a common theme where pets either take advantage of the hooman, pretend to be sick even. If you have a pet of your own, you know how scary it can be thinking your little one is sick or hurt. At this moment, nothing matters except the well-being of your doggo, cateroo, hampster, chicken, goldfish, etc. So it makes sense for people to drop a hefty coin on any and all vet bills required. But the vet is never cheap. Don't get us wrong, we're glad they're okay but damn… was all that drama really necessary? You (doggo/pet) really had to do all that? Go through the extra hoops? Okay, we get it. You had your spotlight, now time to relax. After we've already paid the bill, of course.

A twitter thread highlighting one pet owners silly, expensive experience snowballed and led to others telling their stories of when their furry friends had scared them out of their minds (and got them to open their wallets), only to realize that there was nothing to worry about. While we can't put a price on the joy that our pets bring us every day, these debacles sometimes make it seem like we should.
